How long will my piece take?
Everything is made to order: nothing is held in stock. The lead time is shown on each piece's own page, on the “Lead time” line, and runs from 3 to 12 weeks depending on the model — a chair leaves sooner than a staircase. The exact lead time is confirmed to you in writing when you order.
Can the lead time be shorter?
Some steps cannot be rushed: drying the timber, welding, painting, finishing. We can sometimes bring an order forward depending on the workshop schedule — write to us and we will tell you where we stand.
How are your prices set?
The prices shown in the collection are firm: what you see is what you pay, delivery priced separately by your town. They come from workshop hours and materials, with no middleman. For made-to-measure work (staircase, steel partition, sculpture), the price depends on dimensions and finishes: it is set out in a quote, free of charge.
Can I order other dimensions?
Yes. The dimensions shown are our usual formats; the workshop makes each piece individually, in length, width, height and shape of top. On tables, window railings and backlit stretch ceilings, a calculator gives the price for your measurements. For anything else, send us your measurements and we will quote.
How does delivery work?
We deliver anywhere in mainland France by carrier: the price depends on your town, the weight and the size, and appears on the product page as soon as you enter your postcode. Your piece travels under blankets, with no throw-away packaging, and we agree a precise time slot with you. The piece arrives ready, with its notes. If you would rather the workshop delivered and fitted it itself, choose that on the product page: the price depends on the distance from Saumur, and it all happens in a single trip.
Where do you work?
The workshop is in Saumur, in the Maine-et-Loire. We regularly travel across Maine-et-Loire, Indre-et-Loire, Deux-Sèvres and Vienne to measure up and fit, and we deliver furniture anywhere in mainland France. The detail is on the Where we work page.
How do I care for a wood & steel piece?
A soft dry cloth day to day. For oiled wood, one coat of hardwax oil a year is enough; a scratch sands out lightly. Painted steel wipes clean with a damp sponge, without abrasives.
How does payment work?
Pieces from the collection are paid in full by card when you order, and your invoice is sent automatically. For made-to-measure work on quotation (staircase, steel partition, sculpture), the payment terms are set out on the quote.
Can I cancel or return an order?
Our pieces are made to your dimensions and your finishes: French law excludes the fourteen-day right of withdrawal for goods of that kind, so we cannot take them back once production has started. The statutory warranty of conformity and the warranty against hidden defects do apply in full, however: if the piece does not match what was agreed, or has a hidden defect, we repair it, replace it or refund it. How is a backlit stretch ceiling fitted?
The aluminium frame is fixed to your existing ceiling, then the fabric is stretched: no demolition, no dust, and the fitting usually takes a day. The largest single panel is 400 × 300 cm; beyond that we butt several boxes together to cover a whole ceiling.
